Terms and Conditions of Sale (TCS) for Prêt à Parler CH Services

1. Scope of the TCS
These Terms and Conditions of Sale (TCS) define the rules applicable to any contract between Prêt à Parler CH and its clients (hereinafter referred to as "Client").By confirming their registration and payment, the Client fully and unconditionally accepts these TCS.
The TCS are available on the website pretaparler.ch, on invoices, or upon request.
2. Services Offered
Prêt à Parler CH provides:
- Individual or group online French lessons tailored to the Client's needs and linguistic goals, taught by qualified instructors.
- Flexible schedules: Monday to Friday (8:00 AM to 8:00 PM) and Saturday (8:00 AM to 3:00 PM).
3. Access to Educational Tools
Educational tools include:
- For all Clients: 24/7 access to online educational materials.
- For private lessons: access to Prêt à Parler’s chatbots
- For private or group lessons: Access to a student portal with course materials, lesson recordings, and assignments.
- For specific packages: Access to signature e-courses, including "French Toolbox," "French for Everyday Life," "Swiss French Test", and "FIDE Test Preparation."
4. Lesson Duration and Validity
Individual Lessons
- FIDE Lessons:
- Pack of 10 lessons: valid for 2 months.
- Pack of 20 lessons: valid for 5 months.
- General French Lessons (which can be used for Fide as well):
- 30 hours:
- Intensive/Fast-Track (30 hours): valid for 3 months (10 lessons per month).
- Slowly But Surely (30 hours): valid for 6 months (5 lessons per month).
- 60 hours:
- Intensive/Fast-Track (60 hours): valid for 6 months (10 lessons per month).
- Slowly But Surely (60 hours): valid for 12 months (5 lessons per month).
- À la carte: as agreed in writing.
- 30 hours:
- Pronunciation & Vocal Confidence Lessons with CEO Isabelle Nicolas:
- Pack of 5 lessons: valid for 1 month.
- Pack of 10 lessons: valid for 3 months.
- Pack of 20 lessons: valid for 6 months.
Group Lessons
- Semester of 20 hours (10 FIDE lessons over 10 weeks): valid for 3 months.
- Semester of 20 hours (10 FIDE lessons over 5 weeks): valid for 2 months.
Contracts cannot be extended.
Special requests must be approved in writing by Prêt à Parler’s CEO Isabelle Nicolas at info@pretaparler.ch before the start of the program.
5. Lesson Policies
5.1 Scheduling Lessons
Lessons must be scheduled via the online system or by contacting customer service at info@pretaparler.ch.
5.2 Rescheduling and Cancellations
- Minimum notice: 24 hours before the lesson via the portal or email.
- Rescheduling: Cancelled lessons must be rescheduled within the same month. Otherwise, the lesson will be forfeited.
- In the event of the instructor’s absence, the lesson will be rescheduled at no additional cost to the Client.
5.3 Lesson Conduct
- All lessons are conducted via Zoom. Links are sent via email before each lesson.
- Private lesson reminders are sent via SMS and email one hour before the session.
5.4 Lesson Recordings and Post-Lesson Materials
- Lesson recordings: Available during the contract and for 3 months after the end of the contract.
- Access to the client portal: Available during the contract and for 3 months after the end of the contract.
- Homework and materials: Uploaded to the client portal within 24 hours of the lesson.
6. Pricing and Payment Terms
6.1 Payment Options
- Full payment:
- Via QR invoice, Stripe, or PayPal.
- Invoices are payable within 5 days of receipt.
- Monthly payments:
- Stripe/PayPal: Automatic debits on the date of the first payment.
- Bank transfer:
- Invoices are payable by 5th of every month.
6.2 Late Payments
- Email reminders will be sent, and late fees may apply.
- Lessons will be suspended until the full payment is received.
7. Right of Withdrawal
The Client may cancel their purchase within 14 days of subscription, provided no contract has been signed and no lessons have been delivered.
Requests must be made in writing to info@pretaparler.ch.
8. Suspension or Termination of Contract
By the Client:
- No refunds will be issued after the first lesson.
By Prêt à Parler CH:
- Contracts may be suspended for late payments.
- Contracts may be terminated after 4 consecutive weeks without bookings if the Client does not respond to phone calls from our admin team and/or email reminders.
9. Responsibility
Prêt à Parler CH is committed to delivering high-quality teaching but does not guarantee specific results. Success depends on the Client’s commitment and attendance.
10. Changes to the TCS
Prêt à Parler CH reserves the right to modify these TCS at any time. The latest version will be available on the website, and Clients will be notified of significant changes.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These TCS are governed by Swiss law. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at Prêt à Parler CH's registered address.

What our courses are
Our e-courses are self-paced learning programs designed to help you build your French step by step. They include:
- Video lessons
- Exercises and practical activities
- Structured learning paths
They are preparation tools, not official exams or certifications, and they do not guarantee exam success — but they’re designed to give you the best possible support.
Your access
- You get personal access to your course after purchase
- Your access is for you only (no sharing please )
- Access duration is indicated at the time of purchase
If misuse is detected, we may need to suspend access.
Payment
- Prices are shown in CHF unless stated otherwise
- Payment (or installments) must be completed as agreed
Refund
Because you receive immediate access to all course materials, our e-courses are non-refundable once access is granted.
We always aim to be fair and understanding — and in exceptional situations, we may offer alternative solutions at our discretion.
Course content
We do our very best to keep our content:
- Clear
- Relevant
- Up to date
However:
- Courses are based on the information available at the time of creation
- External exams (like fide) may evolve independently
Content use
All materials are created with care and are protected. You’re very welcome to use them for your personal learning, but please don’t:
- Share your access
- Copy or distribute the content
- Use it commercially
Your responsibility
To get the most out of your course, we ask that you:
- Use the platform respectfully
- Follow the learning path
- Ensure you have a stable internet connection
A quick note on results : We’re here to support you — but your progress depends on your practice, consistency, and starting level.
Goodwill & flexibility
We care about your experience. When possible, we may offer:
- Credits
- Extensions
- Alternative options
These are goodwill gestures and not automatic rights.
Legal
These terms are governed by Swiss law, with jurisdiction in Switzerland.
